Another batch of Christmas cards

Anyone who knows me, knows I love embossing, be it wet or dry. I love the texture and depth that it brings to even plain white paper. For the Rejoice card, I added the depth by using a piece of Background paper and white embossing power on the Angel with a touch of bling on the wing.

A little bit of Washi tape to some scraps and a handcut flame make for a dramatic and beautiful display.

I love white on white embossing and decided to add just a touch of color to the trees, a pop of red to the words and a bit of glitz to the snowflakes.

Christmas Cards

We have been doing some Christmas cards for the past couple of months, to have a good selection to use for personal cards and wanted to share some of these with you all.
B 1403 To You and Yours stamp set paired with a Darice embossing folder and CTMH New England Ivy cardstock with the wonderful white core, perfect for sanding to bring the embossed design out. Scrap of Skylark for the center of the card and some red glitz adds the bling.

This is one of the cards we will be doing next month. CTMH Artfully Sent cricut cartridge page 46 Sentiment cut at 5 1/2 inches with real size dial. Cut off the blank card side and embossed the angel cut out frame. Use the edge of a gold metallic pigment ink to distress and streak as a starburst. Mount a scrap of retired Background and Texture behind the Angel and then mount the card front to a 5.5x4.25 card. Rounded the edges of card and angel frame. Cut a piece of CTMH washi tape in half and apply to top and bottom of frame.

Another fun Artfully Sent card. This one was inspired by another consultant, Susan Suske @ http://www.obsessedwithscrapbooking.com/2014/10/videoartfully-sent-santa-ho-ho-ho.html page 49, shift Sentiment cut at 4.25, which will produce a 8.5x4.25 card. Black belt is 3/4 x 5.5, Buckle cut from Artbooking pg63, real size dial @ 1.25 and Beard from Artiste page 61 Shift>accent4 cut @ 4 inches and cut in half, emboss with Darice folder and enhance with sparkle glitz. White panel for inside 4.25x5.5.

Artfully Sent cartridge pg. 46, Shift>Sentiment @ 4.25 for card front, Cut inside pop-up on page 46 Shift>Pop-up Real size dial on @ 8". Cut Mary and Babe @ Icon real size dial on @ 2.5", Cut Tree and Shepherds Real Size Dial on>Shift>Icon @ 4.5. Black layer of cardstock 4.25x5.5 is sandwiched between card front and pop-up. A piece of holographic silver Duck tape gives the card it shine on both the front and the inside of the card. Embossed in Silver the word Rejoice from the C1587 Hostess Stamp Sing Glory and the words from retired stamp set C1089 Christmas Heaven. Add a strip of black cardstock 5.5x5/8" to bottom inside pop-up card. Need more help with step by step order of putting a pop-up card together? Leave me a message and I'll post a more detailed description.
This is October Stamp of the Month and it is so cute with a lot of great stamps. I embossed white cardstock with the snowflakes, using a Darice folder, then using a sponge dauber I barely colored the raised snowflakes in Glacier ink, then used a stickles to dot the center of the snowflakes. Stamped the polar bear with Glacier ink, trimmed around the scalloped edge and distressed around edge with Ocean ink and mounted it onto Glacier cardstock distressed in Ocean. Popped up the Polar bear image and gently outlined the lines on the bear with lagoon marker then decorated scarf and center of snowflakes with more stickles. Stamped the words Merry Christmas with Ocean ink onto white strip from the stamp set that comes with the Artfully Sent cricut cartridge.
